Our Story: Where Nature Takes Root
Discover the history and mission behind Semi in Mente—a project dedicated to the restoration of the Tuscan agricultural landscape and the promotion of holistic wellbeing.
Our name, which literally translates to ‘Seeds in the Mind’, reflects our core philosophy: Planted in Mind. We believe that by nurturing the land, we also nurture the soul. This section explores our commitment to reconnecting people with the environment through olive tree adoption, traditional culinary arts, and green mindfulness. Every experience we offer is a reflection of these values—inviting you to slow down, breathe, and let nature take root within you.

Our Journey: How it all begin
Within the walls of an ancient farmhouse, a project of life transformation and environmental stewardship was born. After years spent abroad and a nomadic chapter searching for a home in the countryside, we fell in love with a small borghetto nestled in the Lucca hills, surrounded by terraced olive groves.
What captivated us most was the luminous rolling landscape, the lush vegetation, the birdsong, and the rustic, timeless beauty of the stone.
This is where Semi in Mente took root—a project born from the meeting of our respective fields of research and passion. Our choice, both in life and in work, was driven by a deep desire to live in harmony with nature and to create a space for study, experimentation, and personal growth.

Our vision
We imagine a garden where one can wander freely and, at the same time, take root. An open space for diversity, without rigid boundaries. A place that cares for us as we care for it, until we become part of the landscape itself.
We aspire to live within a ‘nomadic and wild garden’—which does not mean leaving the land to neglect. Instead, it is about embracing the wild as a living narrative.
“The nomadic garden is the wild becoming an image. It is the wild telling its story through the timing and forms of plant growth… It is the self-management of wild ecosystems that can tell us the stories we truly need.” — Matteo Meschiari, Notes on Geo-anarchy
